A narrative is simple a story. It has three parts which include a beginning, a middle, and an end. The beginning introduces the characters, setting and outlines the problem. The middle highlights the rising action which is a series of events leading up to the climax. The middle of a narrative describes how the problem is solved/resolved.

A Highly Unusual Day
Although the day had started out as any other morning before school, when the bell rang and Miss Davies went to the entry door and asked the students to enter something did not quite seem right… as the students began to enter Miss Davies could not believe her eyes... she thought maybe she was still asleep or perhaps her eyes were just tired ... after rubbing her eyes she could still not believe what she saw... it appeared as if her students were not actually children but had somehow been transformed into birds. Perplexed Miss Davies rubbed her eyes again. Realized it was not a dream and she was not imagining this transformation… the odd thing of course, was that although the students were now birds they still had the ability to talk and converse with each other and with their teacher. Thinking they were tricking their teacher the students/bird began to giggle. They did not realise that although she looked confused Miss Davies was able to easily identify the students... How you ask? Their voices of course and the birds, forgetting how clever Miss Davies continued to sit in their regular desks…
Immediately Miss Davies called out three of the boys...
