This lesson highlights a number of familiar songs (I am sure you will recognise most of  them) that have been re-written to include lyrics about staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
For those of  you who love to write and enjoy music here is your opportunity to create some  lyrics of your own.
We Are the World" is a charity single originally recorded by the supergroup USA for Africa in 1985. It was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and produced by Quincy Jones and Michael Omartian for the album We Are the World. With sales in excess of 20 million copies, it is the eighth best-selling physical single of all time.

Without using a dictionary, what do you think the word 'excess' means in the sentence, "with sales in excess of 20 million copies"?

If this video was released in 1985 and redone 25 years later with a different group of musicians, in what year is the second video being performed?
Round 1985 to the nearest 10, 100 and 1 000.
Look at the number of views for each video... calculate the different... try rounding these very large numbers to the nearest million and tens of millions...
