Clothesline Project at A. G. Hodge...
For all of our donations to the Canadian Diabetes Society, A. G. Hodge receives money that is used to help purchase educational games, and hands-on activities for our weekly Hands-on Club.
How we got involved with the Clothesline Project ...
During the last school year, the class watched as one of our classmates became very sick (e.g. losing weight, very tired, thirsty, and generally not looking or feeling well) and was consequently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. In our efforts to support our friend we researched diabetes and decided we wanted to do something to help her and the organization that provided so much support and care for her, her sibling, her parents, and grandparents. Our teacher, Miss Davies, got in contact with the Canadian Diabetes Society, and within a day she received an email from Kim Desjardins at the Clothesline Project... we have been working together, in partnership, ever since...
